Trail Grins T-shirts are made fresh just for you — printed on demand, shipped from the USA, and built to make someone on the trail stop and laugh.

SECTION 1 — SHIPPING AND DELIVERY


Q: How long will it take to receive my order?

Every Trail Grins T-shirt is printed fresh specifically for your order. That means there are two stages before it reaches your door — production and shipping.

  • Production time: 1 to 2 business days.
  • Delivery time after your order ships: 
    • USA: 2 to 5 business days. 
    • International: 10 to 30 business days.

For most US customers, you are looking at roughly 3 to 7 business days from order to doorstep.


Q: How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is free on all US domestic orders over $75. 

For orders under that threshold, shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address.


Q: Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. International orders typically arrive within 10 to 30 business days after production. 

Delivery times can vary depending on your country and local postal services, so please factor that in when ordering.


Q: Can I track my order?

Yes. Once your order ships, your tracking information will be sent to you by email. 

If you do not see it in your inbox, check your spam folder — it occasionally takes a detour there. 

As long as your email address was entered correctly at checkout, it will find its way to you.


SECTION 2 — SIZING AND FIT


Q: How do I know which size to order?

Our shirts run true to size and are pre-shrunk to minimize shrinkage. 

Each product page has a full size chart with measurements and fitting guidance to help you choose the right size before you order.

We strongly recommend checking it before you add to cart.


Q: Will the shirt shrink after washing?

Our shirts are pre-shrunk, so shrinkage is minimal when you follow the care instructions. 

Wash cold inside out and tumble dry on low, and you are good to go.


SECTION 3 — THE SHIRT ITSELF


Q: What shirt do you print on?

All Trail Grins designs are printed on the Gildan Softstyle 64000 — a 4.5 oz lightweight tee that feels genuinely great to wear for hours on end. 

Soft, breathable, classic unisex fit with a crew neckline. The kind of shirt you reach for first every time.


Q: What is the shirt made from?

Solid colors are made from 100% ring-spun cotton. 

Heather colors and Sport Grey are a cotton-polyester blend for added durability.

Two color notes worth knowing before you order:

  • White may appear slightly off-white rather than bright white due to the fabric properties.
  • Natural color is made from unprocessed cotton, which means you may notice small black flecks throughout the fabric. That is not a defect — it is simply what natural unprocessed cotton looks like.

Q: How are the shirts printed?

All Trail Grins garments are printed using DTG — Direct-to-Garment — technology, which delivers clean and vibrant results on fabric. 

Neck labels are printed using DTF — Direct-to-Film. 

Everything is printed and shipped in the USA.


Q: My new shirt has a faint smell and some residue on it. Is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong — this is completely normal for DTG printed garments. 

The printing process involves a pre-treatment solution that can leave a faint odor and a light residue on new shirts, especially on lighter colored ones. Both disappear entirely after the first wash.

Wash cold inside out, tumble dry on low, and your shirt will look and feel exactly as it should.


Q: The print placement looks slightly off. Is this a defect?

DTG printing allows a tolerance of up to half an inch for print placement. 

Small variations within that range are a normal part of the process and are not considered a manufacturing defect.

If the placement looks significantly off or you believe there is a genuine printing issue, reach out to us with a clear photo and we will take a look.


SECTION 4 — RETURNS AND REFUND

Q: Can I return or exchange my shirt if I ordered the wrong size or color, or simply changed my mind?

Because every Trail Grins shirt is printed on demand specifically for your order, we are not able to accept returns or exchanges for ordering the wrong size, the wrong color, or a change of mind.

We know that is not what everyone wants to hear — so before you order, please take a moment to check the size chart on the product page. 

It is there specifically to help you get it right the first time.


Q: What if my shirt arrives damaged or has a printing defect?

That is not okay and we will make it right. If your order arrives damaged or with a manufacturing error, you may be eligible for a free reprint or a full refund.

Here is what to do:

  1. Report the issue within 30 days of delivery.
  2. Email us at cs@trailgrins.com with a clear photo showing the problem.
  3. You do not need to send the shirt back to us.

We will review your case and get it sorted as quickly as we can.


Q: What if my order never arrived?

If your order has not shown up within the expected delivery window, take these two steps first:

 

  1. Double-check that your delivery address was entered correctly at checkout.
  2. Check with your local post office — packages are sometimes held there for pickup.

 

If you have done both and your order still cannot be located, contact us at cs@trailgrins.com and we will investigate.

For reference — a domestic US order that has not arrived within 30 calendar days of shipping, or an international order within 45 calendar days, qualifies as a lost package. 

Reach out and we will take it from there.


SECTION 5 — ORDER CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS


Q: Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

Because we move quickly into production after an order is placed, we cannot guarantee that changes or cancellations will always be possible. 

But if you need to fix something, contact us immediately at cs@trailgrins.com or through the contact form on our site.

The sooner you reach out, the better the chance we can step in before your order goes into production. 

We will do everything we reasonably can to help.


SECTION 6 — CARING FOR YOUR SHIRT


Q: How should I wash and care for my Trail Grins shirt?

A little care goes a long way in keeping your shirt looking great for years on and off the trail.

  • Wash cold inside out with similar colors at a maximum of 30°C or 90°F. 
  • Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach entirely. 
  • Air dry whenever possible. 
  • If tumble drying, use low heat only — no heavy companions like winter coats in the same load.
  • Iron or steam on low heat only. 
  • Avoid excessive spin cycles as these increase wear on the fabric and print over time.
  • The inside-out tip matters most for graphic tees. It protects the print and keeps colors strong wash after wash.
